• Enquiry data: When you submit an enquiry about a care home, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and message.
• Claim data: If you claim a care home listing, we collect your name, email, phone, role, and care home details.
• Placement data: If you report a placement, we collect your name, email, care home details and resident move-in date.
• Usage data: We may collect anonymised analytics data (pages visited, search terms) to improve the service.

• Care homes: When you submit an enquiry, your contact details are shared with the care home you enquired about only.
• Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails. Your email address is processed by Resend's servers.
• Supabase: Our database is hosted on Supabase (EU region). Your data is stored securely.

Enquiry data is retained for 12 months. Claim and placement data is retained for 7 years for accounting purposes. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hello@caredirectory.co.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

We use only essential cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required.

Care home information (name, address, CQC ratings) is sourced from the Care Quality Commission's public dataset under the Open Government Licence v3.0. We are not responsible for the accuracy of CQC ratings.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
